The Idea

This project started from a color grading exercise, but while working on the footage, I realized the shots had enough energy to become something more. I turned it into a short trailer-style sequence, focusing on how American football can feel both explosive and controlled at the same time.

The Process

What interested me most was not just showing the action, but shaping the feeling of the game through bodily contact, speed ramping, shaky camera movement, and the contrast between fast and slow moments. To me, sports editing is about more than showing what happened. It is about building anticipation, translating physical intensity, and keeping people curious about what comes next. Music and sound effects became a big part of that, helping each hit, pause, and surge forward land with more weight.

The Result

In the end, the sequence became a small study in how sports can be edited like a story, using rhythm, tension, and momentum to make the viewer feel the game rather than simply watch it.
